LogiMAT in review: Rising visitor numbers and global momentum

For S+P Samson GmbH, LogiMAT is one of the key events in its annual calendar. Once again this year, the trade fair for intralogistics solutions and process management has demonstrated just how important face-to-face interaction at the event is. A look at developments over recent years makes it clear that interest in modern logistics technologies is growing steadily. Visitor numbers have risen noticeably compared with previous years. As ever, the trade fair continues to attract a strong audience from the surrounding region. The immediate catchment area remains a stable foundation for in-depth discussions at the stand.

At the same time, another very striking trend can be observed. The dynamic at the trade fair is becoming increasingly global. The number of international contacts is growing year on year. Trade visitors from all over the world are using the platform to find out about future-proof technologies and optimise existing supply chains.

RFID technology as a driver of digital transformation

A key focus of the discussions at our stand was RFID technology. Many customers and prospective clients approached us with very specific queries. They wanted to know how contactless identification systems can be integrated into harsh industrial environments. Radio technology offers enormous advantages, particularly in sectors such as steel production, mechanical engineering and the automotive supply industry. It enables the seamless tracking of components and load carriers without direct line of sight.

Our specialised labels overcome the typical physical barriers that arise in metallic or high-stress environments. The high level of interest at the trade fair clearly shows that the digitalisation of the tunnel furnace has become a reality. Companies are actively seeking ways to eliminate manual tracking steps and completely rule out sources of error in intralogistics.

A boost for the economy: postponed projects get a fresh start

However, the most important takeaway from this year’s trade fair goes beyond mere product discussions. There is a clear, positive signal for overall economic development. Numerous projects that were postponed in recent months or years and had been shelved are now being actively resumed.

The willingness to invest in industry is noticeably picking up. Companies are now systematically tackling the automation of their processes. For us, as specialists in intelligent identification solutions, this new beginning is a strong signal. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all visitors for the many constructive discussions, the positive feedback and the valuable suggestions. These insights feed directly into our day-to-day development work, enabling us to continue delivering bespoke systems for global use in the future.
