Precise tracking on metal: the RFID MOM tag

In modern maintenance and manufacturing, the seamless traceability of components is crucial to process reliability. S+P Samson GmbH’s solution for these scenarios is the RFID MOM tag (Micro-On-Metal).

With an antenna size of just 6 mm, this passive transponder is one of the smallest models on the market. The robust stamped component can be permanently bonded in the tightest of spaces and withstands the harsh environmental conditions of industrial plant operations. A key practical advantage: The read range is deliberately limited to a few centimetres. This ensures that data records are captured with pinpoint accuracy and mechanically prevents any unwanted double-counting of parts situated close together in the warehouse or on the machine.

Modular system: The S+P RFID reading pen

Precisely tailored to the micro-transponder, S+P Samson offers a dedicated RFID reading pen. The device is based on a flexible modular design. This allows the housing shape, colour scheme and technical components to be precisely adapted to the specific ergonomic and hardware requirements of the customer’s operations. Wired data transmission ensures constant availability during daily shift operations and protects against signal interference in heavily shielded production areas.
