Take a robust film (PET), a transponder and an adhesive - and the flag label is ready.
The flag principle means that part of the label protrudes over the metal.
To implement this production principle, S+P Samson has invested in a new system for adhesive application. The technology makes it possible to freely define adhesive-free zones in the label.
With the transponder of 1-2 cm away from the metal, the reading range is unrestricted by the influence of the metal.
And chip development is advancing: the latest transponders with folded antennas achieve a reading range of 20 meters!
