Steel industry | RFID high temperature labelling
The switch to radio frequency technology is also making great strides in the steel industry.
The benefits of automatic detection of material movement and loading control are compelling.
Temperature resistance is essential for use in rolling mills. Labelling at the end of the hook conveyor is the basis for avoiding mix-ups.
S+P Samson now presents the enhanced version of the high-temperature RFID label.
The heat protection of the transponder has been further improved with a new adhesive and an enlarged cover. A new coating improves weather resistance and reduces costs.
As a result, an RFID hang tag can withstand temperatures of up to 450°C.
Also new is an adhesive that can be applied at temperatures of up to 300°C.
Last but not least, the technical changes help to bring the read rate for identification as close to 100% as possible.
