Labels for extreme requirements Actualités | 28.05.2025
In modern times, labelling at 350 °C is reliable thanks to GRAPHIPLAST® 7946.50
Labelling heavy plates has always been challenging, especially at extreme temperatures. However, an Italian steel manufacturer has now set a new standard. Labelling takes place directly on the cooling bed at 350 °C. This is a demanding environment in which conventional labels would fail, but GRAPHIPLAST® 7946.50 is up to the task.
High-temperature labels for the steel industry
Order-related production in rolling mills requires continuous, barcode-supported traceability from the cooling bed. This requires labels that adhere securely and remain legible under extreme conditions, even when stacked in packs of sheet metal.
Our solution is flag labels with a special adhesive. Part of the label extends beyond the sheet and remains adhesive-free to ensure optimum barcode readability. This is achieved by a window that remains on the label when it is transferred to the robot, neutralising the adhesive efficiently and precisely.
GRAPHIPLAST® 7946.50: the label for extreme conditions.
- heat-resistant up to 350 °C
- strong adhesion to hot metal sheets
- ideal for automated labelling with robot support.
- optimised for barcode readability in sheet stacks.
For rolling mills, rely on future-proof labelling solutions – such as GRAPHIPLAST® 7946.50, which was developed to ensure maximum process reliability in heavy industry.
