After the material comes from the continuous caster, it passes through the rolling mill with its inspection processes. The bars are then peeled and labelled with individual bar and bundle labels before being sent to forging plants for further processing.

Labelling in the forging industry

Forged parts go through a number of demanding processing steps before becoming a finished crankshaft or a robust gear wheel. These include hot or cold forming, grinding, deburring, honing and calibrating.
