In-house first aid course News | 07.11.2024

A day full of knowledge, practice and the joy of helping

The common conclusion of the participants of this year's first aid course was clear: helping is fun!

More than 20 motivated participants attended this year's in-house course at S+P Samson. The aim was to strengthen both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in order to be able to intervene quickly in an emergency.

Many emergency situations can occur unexpectedly in everyday life. In the case of an allergic shock, for example, rapid intervention is crucial to survival. In the theoretical part, the participants learned how to recognise this life-threatening situation and what steps can be taken before professional help arrives.
Very helpful was the practical training in rescuing casualties from a vehicle - a challenge that was simulated during the course. Practical exercises are the best way to prepare rescuers for an emergency.

Another highlight of the course was the use of heated blankets. Everyone was able to try out for themselves what a heated blanket feels like and how it affects the body - an important experience when dealing with shock.
Bandaging wounds was also part of the training. This required creativity and sensitivity. Participants learned effective techniques under professional guidance.

Almost every participant was able to report an emergency or tricky situation that required first aid.

At the end of the day, everyone agreed that refreshing and expanding their first aid skills was a valuable contribution to their own safety and the safety of others.
